What is Rehab

Our Alcohol detoxification treatment program is typically 60 to 90 days from start to finish. An Alcohol treatment program generally requires a total of 10 to 12 office visits.

Alcohol dependence or alcoholism is a very serious and widespread medical issue that can cause permanent physical damage to the body if it is not addressed and treated properly. Alcoholism is not a choice or a lack of willpower; it is a powerful physical addiction that causes an individual to drink despite the negative effects that drinking causes to the person’s health, family life, friendships, education and career.

Alcohol dependence is difficult to treat because alcohol is easily accessible, we live in a culture where alcohol use is common and accepted, and the stress of daily life is ever increasing. Individuals with family members whom are alcoholics, with a mental condition such as anxiety, depression or bipolar disorder, or with low esteem also have an increased risk of alcohol dependence and relapse.

Our alcohol withdrawal treatment is different from other programs because we treat our patients over an extended period of time so that each patient can safely and comfortably detox from alcohol without experiencing withdrawal symptoms such as physical illness, anxiety and insomnia. Instead of placing patients in artificial environments, our program allows patients to live at home and teaches patients coping skills and techniques that they can currently apply in their everyday lives while attending to their familial and professional responsibilities to reduce the risk of relapse.
