Stadol

What is Stadol?

Stadol®, generically known as butorphanol, is an opiate prescribed to manage moderate to severe pain and migraines. This drug works by changing the way the brain senses pain.

Is Stadol addicting?

Stadol® is an addictive substance and may be habit forming. Within a few weeks of consistently taking Stadol® ,the body adjusts to the presence of the drug and a tolerance develops. As a tolerance to Stadol® develops, the body requires more and more Stadol® to relieve the symptoms it was prescribed to treat. Taking higher doses of Stadol® can increase the risk of experiencing uncomfortable side effects.

While the health consequences of developing a Stadol® addiction are serious and potentially life threatening, the social consequences of the drug are equally disturbing.
